Low gluten wafers are approved for use in the Catholic Mass by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for those with gluten sensitivity. Baked in a dedicated bakery free of gluten contaminants and individually wrapped to prevent cross-contamination, they are made of gluten free wheat starch and water. Gluten content is below 20 parts per million, making these Hosts gluten free based on nutritional standards, but FDA regulations do not permit labeling these as gluten free because they are made from purified wheat starch. Box of twenty-five Hosts with shelf life of 1 year.
