St. Anthony is known as the "Wonder Worker" for the many miracles and conversions attributed to him. He traveled all over Italy and attracted large crowds of people wherever he went to preach. St. Anthony is often depicted carrying the child Jesus due to the many visions he had of the Christ Child.
