Mary Undoer of Knots Novena

There are two versions of the Novena prayer to Mary Untier of Knots, also known under the title Mary Undoer of Knots. A novena is a series of prayers that are said for nine consecutive days, most commonly as a prayer of petition. This Novena traditionally requests Mary’s intercession in turbulent marriages but has grown to encompass any family situation that does not have a clear resolution. Consider including these additional prayers to Our Lady Undoer of Knots when performing the novena.

Each Mary Undoer of Knots Novena opens with the Sign of the Cross and an Act of Contrition, prayerfully acknowledging our sins and asking for forgiveness. After this Prayer of Repentance, the two Novenas differentiate themselves. The elongated version includes the first three decades of the Rosary, followed by a meditation, the last two decades of the Rosary, and then a closing prayer to Mary Untier of Knots. This version allows you to spend more time praying for Mary’s intercession in your life. The shorter version differs in that it includes a solitary decade. However, a brief bible excerpt and reflection are added. There is a significant difference between the Mary Undoer of Knots prayers. This may be attributed to the development of the devotion in different countries.
