This book contains excellent meditations. I have given away at least a dozen copies & everyone has found the book excellent. It is "must have" especially during Lent!

    A comfort.

This volume for me is very special, like a very wise friend accompanying me through Lenten desert. I am very grateful for it.

    A geat Lenten resource!

I use the book for daily readings during Lent. The readings are based on the scripture readings for each day so I try to get to them before morning Mass. Not so great? Maybe too pre-Vatican II. Don't know how much of the doctrine is legit. Best Uses: Older Readers; Describe Yourself: Everyday Reader; Pros: Deserves Multiple Readings, Informative, Well Written

I now own the entire collection

I began a couple of years ago with the Lent/Eastertide volume. Over that time, I have purchased the remainder of the volumes. These books follow the liturgical year, are very spiritually "nutritious"... truly food for the soul. I truly enjoy the references not only to Scripture, but also to the writings of the Fathers of the Church. I will enjoy reading them over and over through the years, always learning something new! Best Uses: Meditation, Older Readers; Describe Yourself: Bookworm; Pros: Informative, Well Written

One of the leaders in my prayer group read from this and I decided to buy the set of books for myself. I have recommended this book to many others.

    Look forward to reading it.

I use this every morning as the last step of my prayer routine. I like that it follows the liturgy of the day. I also like all of the references it gives to the scriptures, doctors of the church, encyclicals and other Catholic writings. Describe Yourself: Casual Reader; Pros: Deserves Multiple Readings, Easy To Read, Informative, Well Written
