"This book was a gift for our 14yr. old granddaughter's birthday. She seemed interested and thought it might be interesting. She attends public achool and is a good and remarkable young woman(becomming). I look for opportunities to offer her exposure to growing spiritually and broadening her perspective. Inspiring!

"Beware of buying this book in April, like I did, if you’re someone who struggles with patience as much as I do! That’s the virtue of that month, and it really packs a punch. :) So there was no “easing into” this book for me, but that’s just fine because I didn’t buy it for fluffy reading. I’d recommend this for adults, mainly, if not only. I’m sure some teens can follow along just fine, but teenagers are already prone to being a bit extreme, and many of the stories I’ve read so far glorify high degrees of asceticism, which might throw younger minds a little off kilter if they are prone to being scrupulous. Or the saints might perhaps seem too “out there” to be relatable, which could feel discouraging to a young person. But I, personally, find it very edifying and inspiring; I am very glad I bought it."
