The beautiful painting by Jean Restout II was originally painted in the 1700's for the Monastery of St. Denis and was placed in their dining hall. The canvas, vandalized at some point and cut into the rectangular dimensions, is now on permanent display at the Louvre in Paris, France, and stands over 15 feet high and 25 feet wide. It features Mary at the center, as the Apostles and she receive the Holy Spirit.
