"I learned that sin turns us away from God. Forgiveness is the first step toward healing. Each of us is called to a one-on-one relationship with God, and through confession, we exhibit a change of heart toward God. We must firmly resolve with God’s help to change our hearts and amend our lives. We must beware of our own forgiveness and “put away all bitterness” by repenting & replacing curses with blessings. We can ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what hurts we are holding onto. And we need to drink at the fountain of life, Reconciliation, regularly spurred on by God’s call to repentance."
