Quality not worth the price

"I bought this more myself even though I am an adult. I have been struggling with intense nightmares and wanted a blessed plush doll of the Blessed Mother to help me sleep at night. This is a very lovely doll with quaint charm in her design. I love the option of getting the Blessed Mother with a darker complexion, which is the main reason I opted for this doll over others on the market. The materials are also high quality. However, the hair has not held up to use—and as an adult, I’m sure I’m far more delicate with this doll than a child. I was displeased to notice that within less than a week, the wool hair quickly began to pill/appear frizzy, and over time strands of hair are getting pulled out of their sewn-on position despite careful use. In general, the hair is not well designed for functionality, although it does look beautiful upon receipt. Lastly, I was also disappointed by how this doll was packaged. She arrived squished in a padded envelope, and to this day, I still can’t get her legs to go straight. I really wish they would’ve packaged her in a box. Overall, I’m feel this doll was sorely overpriced. At this price point, I would’ve expected something resilient enough for child’s play, let alone the gentle use of a traumatized adult."
