This lovely tapestry is generously sized and features a remarkable image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on faux jute. The art combines over 65,000 shades of color, achieving a replica of the original image with 85% accuracy. Our Lady first appeared to St. Juan Diego in Mexico in 1531, asking for a chapel on the hill where she appeared. When the Bishop doubted St. Juan Diego, Mary provided roses on the hill in winter, and had Juan take them to the Bishop as a sign. As he unfurled his cloak, or tilma, and the roses fell, Our Mother's image was mystically imprinted there. The faithful and meaningful representation on this tapestry honors Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of Mexico, the Americas, & the Pro-Life Movement. Faithful and lovely, it makes a great gift.
