"This was very disappointing. There is a general commentary in the beginning and a significant number of footnotes. However, other publications have detailed commentaries for each section, not just some footnotes. Other ones also include detailed explanations of the relationship to other Bible passages, much more detailed than this. I do not plan to buy any more of these studies; I will use other Catholic publications."

The footnotes are full of comments from the saints which Give you a better understanding of how the book has been understood by the Church.
