It was hand crafted in the Holy Land by family artisans. The olive wood also has beautiful light to dark marbling that is distinctive of olive wood. The wood used is pruned from olives groves, and great care is taken in selecting and drying the wood, then in carving to showcase the beautiful grains of each piece. The silver corpus is also nicely detailed with traditional styling. At eight inches tall, this traditional olive wood crucifix is also a standard height for most uses.
