Though the name does not correspond to any of Our Lady's formal and recognized titles within the Church, the statue is a famous representation for an impression Mary made on St. Therese the Little Flower when she was little, gravely ill, and suffering as a child. A similar statue of Mary was placed overlooking the Little Flower, and she was miraculously healed by Our Lady. She remembered Mary with the most loving, charming and motherly smile, and this became a beloved image of Our Blessed Mother. This statue is hand painted and finely detailed, showing the sweet and gentle smile of Mary as she looks down upon her children. A unique gift of love for those devoted to Our Lady.
