Product information
  • Pocket New Testament RSV (Burgundy)
  • Bold font for easy reading
  • Small, portable size with ribbon marker
  • Gold foil stamping on cover and spine
  • For personal use or the perfect gift

Following years of popularity with a pocket New Testament in the Confraternity translation, Scepter now releases an easily readable, yet pocket size (3 x  5 inches) version with soft leather-like covers.

The print size is bold and provides an easy read with a single column format. Each New Testament is well bound with reinforcement strips on the outside signatures to provide years of service without the binding splitting or weakening.

This pocket New Testament is about half an inch wide. Thus it can be carried discreetly anywhere, at work, during travel, or at home. Useful for everyone, whether just for one's own reading, for preparation of talks or homilies or commentaries, or as a gift to a friend or family member.

Note: Personalization, if added, will be engraved in gold on the cover.

Pocket New Testament

"I purchased your Pocket New Testament to carry with me during travel. It is the perfect size to tuck inside my purse. I was pleased with the size of the readable print. It was comforting to have it with me to read on lengthy flights. I was concerned that the print might be too tiny, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was able to read it with ease. I’m very pleased with this purchase."

Q&A

Is this RSV or RSV Catholic Edition?
Thank you for your question. The first translation of the RSV was a Protestant translation and this bible is an RSV-CE, or RSV - Catholic Edition. The RSV-CE is highly regarded by scholars and was chosen by the Vatican for the English edition of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It has the Imprimatur and of course contains the deuterocanonical books contained in all Catholic bible translations.
