A Sacred Moment Marred by Careless Craftmanship

"This experience has left me heartbroken. I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed in a purchase—especially one that meant so much. The engraving on this Bible is, without exaggeration, the worst I have ever seen. I cannot believe The Catholic Company would allow something this poorly done to leave their facility, let alone put their name behind it. I ordered this Bible with so much hope and joy. My son—after years away—told me he wants to return to the Church, start reading the Bible again, and one day raise his children Catholic. As a parent, hearing that was one of the greatest gifts I could have received. I wanted to honor that moment with something truly special and meaningful. Instead, what arrived was an $80 Bible with engraving so sloppy, uneven, and careless that it felt like a punch in the stomach. I was expecting something beautiful, reverent, and worthy of the occasion. What I received looks rushed, cheap, and completely devoid of the dignity a sacred item deserves. I am beyond disappointed. I am hurt. And I feel utterly let down by a company I trusted with something so important. This has taken what should have been a joyful and emotional milestone and overshadowed it with frustration and embarrassment. I expected far better. I deserved far better. My son deserved far better."
