"I got this Bible because I really wanted to have a Bible in which Jesus' words are in red and footnotes/cross-references to help me as I lead a Bible study at church. I love the dura-lux feel and gold edges on the pages. The text size is very legible. Overall, a great Bible! My only qualms are that the art in some of the illustrated pages could be a bit more varied and pulled from more religious/sacred art rather than more animated illustrations. These pages are also a bit stiffer by design. I would also love if the family record were at the beginning or end instead of the middle between OT and NT–seems a bit out of place."

Amazing Bible, perfect for reading and devotions

"First I’d just like to note to everyone that in 2020 Catholic Book Publishers are switching their translation from the New American Bible to the New Catholic Bible. This edition is the New Catholic Bible, which is what I was looking for. Like the NAB it has a good amount notes and book introductions. It also has the same inserts that the NAB had such as the mysteries of the rosary, stations of the cross etc… One thing that I noticed is that their Duralux cover is better quality on this vs the NAB. It seems thicker and more durable. Also the inserts in the NAB version were thicker card stock and would tend to force the Bible to open at certain areas, in this version the inserts are thinner and don’t force any pages open. Overall this Bible is superior in quality in every way to the older NABRE versions that were released in 2010’s Also, I had a defect and Catholic company resolved it in 24 hours. Will recommend to friends and family!"

"I am not really pleased with this bible but it is my fault. I should have read more of the description details. I would have preferred a hard cover, easier to hold. The words of this version is not like my St. Joseph New American Bible so it throws me off. How can the translation be so different?"
