Will the scapular tarnished with everyday wear?
Thank you for your question. This is sterling silver so it must be maintained and polished, and it will tarnish naturally over time but can be restored with proper polishing. Chlorine, fresh water, salt water, perspiration, soaps, lotions, perfumes and hair sprays can all affect the finish so it is best to keep it away from chemicals and moisture in order to keep the finish brilliant and beautiful for as long as possible.
Is the sterling silver scapular a Catholic approved substitute for the traditional brown scapular?
