The inspiration for our exclusive sterling silver JP II lapel pin came from Pope St. John Paul II's iconic, simple, and easily recognizable Crucifix.  

His was an unembellished, humble Crucifix focused on the physical nature of the cross. Featuring hyper-realistic beams and the corpus of an obviously fatigued and suffering Christ, it accented the physically demanding nature of Christ’s sacrifice for us.

"I find the proportions of the corpus a tad unusual. I don't know if that's the original design (by JPII?) or a decision made during the creation of this particular item. The arms seem too long. And the bodily proportions seem off -- at least compared to the familiar crucifixion images. That's my only gripe. Otherwise, it's a beautiful piece."
