Quality, pleasing version of the Catechism

"I picked up an old catechism book from a free pile after ordering this book. I figured the free book would suffice. But upon opening the Ascension Catechism it was so much easier on the eye. Maybe for some that is considered an esthetic choice and not important but I found it to be more organized and didn’t make my eyes and brain feel overwhelmed. All the content is the same but there are colored headings and note boxes with important information. I appreciate the boxes with ‘sources from scripture’ and ‘words to know’. In my photos I show the old catechism book to compare with the Ascension version just in case you need to see a comparison to make an informed decision. I purchased the soft cover version and it feels sturdy. The cover is textured and almost seems to have a waterproof feel to it. If fact the cover is much thicker and sturdier than my free catechism book."

Printed in China—We Prefer the "Blue Book"

"The Catechism of the Catholic Church Second Edition Revised Paperback, published by Liberia Editrice Vaticana in 2023, is comparable to the Large Print Ascension Edition of the CCC but greatly preferred—it contains no distractions and functions more efficiently as a reference book when looking up entries. It is also printed in the USA instead of China, where the Ascension Edition is published—with too many bells and whistles."

This Ascension Edition of the CCC contains the full and current text of the Catechism. It is presented in a format that may be easier to navigate and contains color coding, faith based intros to each section, historical background details for context, etc but it is absolutely the full and current Catechism of the Church presented in a format that may be easier to navigate.
