  • Black glass beads, oxidized silver medals
  • Full color images of each of the Seven Sorrows
  • Unique devotional honoring Mary's Seven Sorrows
  • Moving devotion and special gift of love for Our Lady

This Seven Sorrows chaplet, sometimes known as the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows, features sleek, round glass beads in deepest black to reflect the sorrows of Mary's Heart.

Full color mages of each Sorrow are pictured on the medals separating the sections of the chaplet. The reverse of each medal features the Sorrowful Mother with swords piercing her heart.

Our Lady revealed the devotion to St. Bridget of Sweeden in the 14th C. along with signal graces for those who honor it. The chaplet consists of seven groups of seven Hail Mary beads, with three additional beads and a Crucifix recited in remembrance of Mary's Sorrows:

  1. Prophecy of Simeon
  2. Flight into Egypt
  3. Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple
  4. Meeting Jesus as He carried His Cross
  5. Crucifixion
  6. Receiving the Body of Jesus
  7. Jesus Placed in the Tomb

Three Hail Marys are added at the end, for the tears Our Lady shed in the suffering of her Divine Son.
A moving and beautiful way to grow closer to Mary and to Our Lord, and a special gift for those devoted to Our Lady. Makes a fruitful meditation at Lent or any time of the year.

Note: Personalization, if added, will be engraved on a silver charm attached to the chaplet.

"Thank you for the prompt shipping and this quality rosary 🙏"

Chaplet of Sorrows

"I came across the Chaplet of Sorrows and devotion for the Mater Dolorosa in a prayer book and felt a stirring in my heart to take up praying it. I am of the belief you can never have too many rosaries so this seemed like a good purchase for a specific devotion. I haven't been disappointed. The pictures on the decade beads are quite small, but that does not bother me. The inscription of the Mater Dolorosa on the back of each decade medallion is surprisingly detailed for how small the beads are. Overall I think it is a great aid to a devotion!"

"Seven Sorrows chapter rosary is beautiful, but durable enough for a man’s pocket! Very much recommend!"

ROSA A. (5/5)

Beautiful Rosary

"I really love this rosary. The quality is excellent and the glass beads feel really nice. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the smallest of the 3 icons. It would be much better if the size was like the mid-size icon. It is very difficult to detect the picture in the small ones."

MARY S. (4/5)

Nicely made Rosary

"This is a very nice addition to my Rosary collection. I have been trying to pray the Seven Sorrows of Mary every Saturday, and this Rosary helps me do that. The pictures are tiny, but I like the antique look of them."

Lynn K. (5/5)

Chapter of Seven Sorrows

"This chapter is very well made! Looking forward to using it after I get it blessed. Beautiful pictures between chapters. It came with the chapter prayers which is so helpful."

Mary D. (5/5)
