The station begins with "We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You...". A short reflection follows a beautiful image of the station, then the leader reads a short prayer. The children follow by praying their own prayer and move to the next station singing the traditional Stabat Mater (in English). Includes the Fifteenth Station of the Resurrection. As we got started I could see the participation and devotion improve. They got the hang of the short hymn before they were finished. "This is a wonderful book to teach your children about the Suffering of our Lord. The beautiful pictures grab the attention of small children and the well-written text helps older children to appreciate the suffering of our Lord. This is a great book to keep in a diaper bag for Mass for the little ones, as well as a book which can be meditated upon by the older ones either before or during the Stations of the Cross. I think it would also be very helpful for adults who don't understand the very basics of their faith, or those new to the faith, to understand the Way of the Cross . . . we are all to become childlike in our faith-this is a perfect place to start!
