This Ghirelli rosary honors one of the Church's great saints -- Ignatius of Loyola. He is known for a repeated phrase, which became his motto and that of the Society of Jesus, which he founded: "For the Greater Glory of God."
This unique and highly detailed rosary features oblong Italian wood beads in rich brown, with a custom budded Crucifix, and a centerpiece that features an image of Saint Ignatius in a sunburst on one side and the symbol of the Society of Jesus on the reverse, Our Father beads are medals, each bearing one word of his motto in Latin: Ad, Maiorem, De, Gloriam (“For the Greater Glory of God”) A miniature charm hangs below the centerpiece, featuring an image of Our Lady. Made in Italy.
