St. Paul of the Cross

Saint Paul of the Cross is the patron of Ovada, Italy. He received a vision as a youth and went on to found the Passionists in 1721. Saint Paul of the Cross was a powerful preacher who was known to bring soldiers and bandits to tears. He was an active missionary and was ordained in 1727. St. Paul of the Cross' feast day is October 19th.
